I'm Cherie Long, a mixed media artist living and creating in the wildly inspiring Pacific Northwest-where misty mornings, tangled wildflowers, towering mountains, and wandering thoughts find their way into my work.

"My process is playful and layered-

never quite planned, often delightfully uninvited"

From my home studio, I create expressive, abstract pieces built from hand-painted papers and fabrics, watercolor, collage, paints, ink and intuition. My process is playful and layered-never quite planned, often delightfully uninvited. Florals and vessels appear like whispered dreams, ethereal and surprising, rooted in both memory and imagination.

"I've never been one to color inside the lines"

I don't follow rules or cling to one medium. Instead, I dance between watercolor, acrylic, collage, pastels, ink--whatever helps bring a piece to life. Texture, movement, and imperfection guide me more than precision ever could. I've never been one to color inside the lines!

Before embracing art full-time, I raised a family, owned a fabric store, have taught creative art workshops to hundreds, and spend 26 years in senior living leadership. But Art? Art has always been home. Now I spend my days chasing whimsy and honoring the wild, wandering magic of creative freedom.

My work celebrates the beautifully imperfect. The soulful and surreal. The places where color and curiosity collide.
