Hello, I'm Cherie

Art has always been home.

​

Long before I called myself an artist, I was creating - with fabric, color, texture, gardens, classrooms, and the beautifully imperfect moments that make life interesting. Curiosity has always led the way.

Today I create contemporary abstract watercolor and mixed media work inspired by the Pacific Northwest, layered with intuition, movement and unexpected discovery.

I rarely begin with a finished picture in mind, I begin with possibility.

My work celebrates imperfection, texture and imagination. Some pieces feel quiet and contemplative. Others lean into whimsy and playfulness. Whether I'm painting on paper or creating wearable art, my hope is the same - to make something that invites people to pause, wonder and smile.

I believe creativity doesn't have an expiration date.

Neither does curiosity.
