I am a mixed media artist living in the amazingly beautiful and  inspiring Pacific Northwest. I work from my home studio, along with my studio assistant, Lily D.

 I gravitate towards abstracts, and often find mystical and whimsical florals and vessels emerging, often uninvited or unplanned in my pieces.

I am bound to no specific medium, transitioning between media collage, using hand printed and hand painted papers and acrylics, to watercolor, to inks, to pastels…and always curious to experiment with “new to me” mediums, surfaces and techniques. I am learning and loving the creative possibilities in digital mixed media. This avenue is seen in the majority of my Greeting Cards line, where areas from my original art pieces are married with digital components.

I am a lifelong artist, exploring countless creative art avenues over the years, from owning a fabric store, teaching sewing, charcoal sketching, metal jewelry designer, owner of an “ArtShop”, teaching a variety of art techniques to hundreds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All this while raising a family and working 25 years in the corporate world as a Senior Living Healthcare Executive. I am a dreamer, an artist, an awakening old bohemian soul, and a passionate world traveler, all of which influences my art and life.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sometimes literally, and other times subliminally, I have never been one to “color inside the lines”. I steer away from hard lines and realism in my art. I gravitate to the whimsical, the ethereal, the surreal, the abstract, giving life and meaning to dream, to seek and find beauty and appreciation in the unique. The unusual. To play. To realize and appreciate that a beautiful thing is never perfect.
